Menu Plan (13th June 2016)

I have a hectic week this week as I am out every night except Friday. On two nights I have WI related activities, my brother-in-laws birthday, and two theatre trips. Meals are going to be quick and simple to prepare so I have time to eat before going out. If I don't then I know the diet will be out of the window for this week. I know I caqn do it if I stay focused and plan ahead.

Monday - Cheese and Ham toasties
Tuesday - Chicken Stir Fry with noodles
Wednesday - Leftover stir fry with cous cous
Thursday - Kids will be on pizza as I won't be coming home. I will take a salad into work and eat early
Friday - Cajun chicken burgers
Saturday - Eating out as 2nd theatre trip
Sunday - Salmon, New potatoes and vegetables.

All the meals will be accompanied by speed vegetables if not part of the main dish.

Hope you have a good week.

Visit to Lyme Park

Over the Bank Holiday weekend we went for a picnic to Lyme Park. It wasn't just the four of us, it was with Craig's side of the family. Normally whenever we arrange anything like this the weather is awful. not this time, it was glorious. We could not have asked for better weather.

The kids had fun paddling in the little stream that went to the pond and the adults were able to chill out and enjoy the sun.

As I am not one for sitting and sunbathing I took Emma and my two nieces to see the house and gardens. I am a member of the National Trust so it didn't cost me any extra. During the Bank Holiday weekend you were able to dress up as Edwardians and walk around the House and Gardens that way. So I did. The girls didn't (not a cool thing for a teenager to do) but they at least didn't walk too far behind.

I couldn't resist taking my video camera so I could practise my filming and editing skills.

Emma also decided to practise some of her photography skill and all the pictures in this post were taken by her. I think she did a good job.

Menu Plan (6th June 2016)

Menu planning has rather gone by the wayside the last few weeks. Although I have kind off planned they haven't been stuck to as Craig has always stuck a spanner in the works with last minute changes. The weather and the school holiday has also had an impact.

I am putting a plan on this week and we will see what happens.

Monday - Slimming World Curry Muffins and Salad
Tuesday - Taco Jackets
Wednesday - Gammon, Egg and Slimming World Chips
Thursday - Slimming World Diet Cola Chicken
Friday - Curry and Rice
Saturday - Emma's birthday and she wants to go to TGI Fridays
Sunday - Lamb, Tomato and Chickpea Tagine.

I get weighed at 8.00am on Saturday which is great as I will get weighed before I have breakfast and I also have the rest of the week to be good as I will enjoy TGI's and birthday cake.

Linking to Mrs M and Organising Junkie as usual.

Hope you all have a good week.

I have a Youtube Channel!

I enjoy learning how to do new things all the time. One thing I have been wanting to do for a while was to learn how to video edit. Craig has done some in the past for family and Emma is studying Media at College so has also done it. In the past anything computer related I have generally left to Craig but this time I decided I wanted to do this myself.

I obviously needed something to put in the video and one of the things I enjoy watching most on Youtube is the Day in the Life vlogs. So I decided to take the plunge and as I was off work last week with Matthew I thought I would record what I did.

I was surprised at how much footage I filmed even though most of the individual clips were quite short. When it came to doing the editing I ended up referring to Youtube to find out how to use the software as we do not have any manuals-not that they make much sense to me anyway. I know that it is still a little rough around the edges but I did everything I wanted to put in it.

Why not check it out.

(I know there are two videos on there but Craig did the Zoo video and I hadn't really set up the channel properly.)

I hope to be able to do more videos soon as sometimes it is easier to show on film what I want to say rather than write it down.

See you soon.
